Acceptable Use Policy

TL;DR. Build real apps and be fair. Do not use appflight for malware, impersonation, illegal content, abusing credits, or trying to get out of our build machines. We may suspend accounts that do.

This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to appflight cloud, the Mac app, and the appflight.dev website. appflight runs your code on machines we operate and sends your prompts to AI providers, so a few rules matter more here than they would for a plain text editor.

What you may not do

1. Malware and harm

  • Do not build, test, host or distribute malware, spyware, stalkerware, ransomware, credential stealers, or anything designed to damage, disrupt, or secretly monitor a device, account or person.
  • Do not build apps designed to defraud, phish, or deceive people, such as fake login screens or fake payment forms.

2. Impersonation

  • Do not pretend to be another person, company, brand, or government body, and do not build an app that impersonates one.
  • Do not use another person's name, likeness, or account without their permission.

3. Illegal and abusive content

  • Do not create, store, or ask appflight to produce content that is illegal where you live or where we operate, including child sexual abuse material, content that sexually exploits or endangers minors, and content that promotes violence or terrorism.
  • Do not use appflight to harass, threaten, or stalk anyone, or to build tools whose main purpose is to do so.
  • Do not infringe copyright, trademarks, or other rights. Only upload and use material you have the right to use.
  • Do not collect or build apps that collect personal data in ways that break the law, or that ignore Apple's App Store rules on privacy.

4. Abusing credits, limits and accounts

  • Do not create multiple accounts to get around free limits, bans, or credit rules.
  • Do not exploit a bug to get credits or usage you did not pay for. If you find one, please tell us (see security reporting).
  • Do not use stolen payment methods, or dispute a charge in bad faith for credits you have used.
  • Do not resell, share, or transfer your account or credits.
  • Do not use automated scripts to sign in, create projects, or start jobs at a rate that harms the Service for others.

5. Attacking the Service and the build machines

  • Do not try to break out of, escape, or get around the isolation of a build machine, a preview, or a sandbox.
  • Do not try to read other people's projects, files, keys, or data, or to reach our internal systems, other users' sessions, or our network.
  • Do not use a build machine to mine cryptocurrency, send spam, scan or attack other systems, host services, or run anything unrelated to building and previewing your own app.
  • Do not probe, load test, or scan the Service without our written permission, and do not interfere with how it works.
  • Do not try to extract our prompts, internal tools, or model access, or to use appflight to build a competing copy of the model service itself.

6. AI providers' rules

Anything you send through appflight to an AI model provider must also follow that provider's usage policies. If you use your own provider key, you are responsible for following that provider's terms.

What happens if you break the rules

We may remove content, stop a job, limit your use, suspend or end your account, and remove credits that were obtained by abuse. Where we reasonably can and it is safe, we will tell you why and give you a chance to export your work. For serious harm, such as child safety or an attack on our systems, we may act at once and report it to the authorities or to affected parties.

Reporting a violation

If you see something that breaks this policy, or you think one of our systems is being abused, tell us through Support. For security problems, use security reporting.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes. We will change the date at the top when we do.
